Use fiddler hope they dont use ssl

Yeah by decompiling app and che some class there will some declaration , if it not qr code base api

Use Charles web proxy , and add ssl certificate if needed

if proguard was used then it would be almost impossible to reverse engineer

there are some apk compilers available which decompiles the apk for you and you can get the code ....still if that app is using proguard then its difficult ...im not sure that you can reverse engineer that

Just put that apk in your projects top level directory in android studio and open it by double click , it will open all the res and java files , search there , enjoy
